Each individual has their own perception
of happiness. Happiness is the ultimate goal of all one's activities, efforts,
and struggles in life. Happiness is the universal dream of every living being.
It is not surprising that the perception of happiness of one individual is
often different from that of another individual. The level of happiness of each
individual is different, some see happiness from family unity, closeness to
loved ones, ownership of property, housing, position or health, work, rest from
various affairs, helping the poor, etc. Whatever the perception, what is
surprising is the response of most people when asked, "Do you really feel
happiness?". Turns out their answer was "No". This difference in
perception prompted BPS to carry out the Happiness Level Measurement Survey
(SPTK). 2021 will be the third time that BPS has held an SPTK. SPTK is a survey
based on a subjective assessment to describe the living conditions of the
household not only from the material side but also from the direction of the
meaning of life and happiness of respondents with the support of respondents'
objective data.
At the end of June, a total of 12
employees of BPS Jepara Regency participated in the 2021 Happiness Level
Measurement Survey Training. The training activities were held by BPS Central
Java Province in 2 waves each for 4 (four) effective days, namely Wave 1 on
21-24 June 2021 and Batch 2 on 28 June – 1 July 2021 virtual Zoom and
e-learning. Participants from BPS Kabupaten Jepara in Wave 1, were 1 PML and 3
PCL, while in Wave 2 were 2 PML and 6 PCL. The implementation of the 2021 SPTK
uses the CAPI application which can be accessed directly from each officer's
gadget. It is hoped that the survey can run smoothly considering the importance
of the data generated to calculate the 2021 Happiness Index, 2021 Social
Capital Indicator, Environmental Care Behavior Index (IPPLH) 2021, etc.
