Initial Preparation for Regsosek BPS Jepara

Initial Preparation for Regsosek BPS Jepara

September 6, 2022 | BPS Activities

The issuance of Presidential Instruction No. 4 of 2022 concerning the Acceleration of the Elimination of Extreme Poverty is a new stage for the Central Statistics Agency. The President gave the mandate to carry out the Socio-Economic Registration (REGSOSEK). This Regsosek activity is very important for the provision of socio-economic data that covers the entire population of Indonesia and the use of such data sharing for various social protection and community empowerment programs.

Regsosek is a system and database that covers the entire population consisting of profiles, social conditions, economy, and level of welfare. This data will be connected to the population master data and other databases, up to the village/kelurahan level. Therefore, in this activity, BPS does not run alone, but BPS builds collaboration with various related Ministries/Institutions/Regional Agencies. In this collaboration, BPS plays an important role by coordinating initial data collection, methodological standardization, data collection management, updating, and guaranteeing the quality of Regsosek data, as well as sectoral statistical development activities. Thus, it is hoped that the quality of Regsosek data can be well maintained to meet the various needs of future government programs.

In building collaboration with the Regional Government and elements of the Regional Government Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), On Tuesday, September 6, 2022 the leadership of BPS Jepara and their staff visited the PJ Regent of Jepara, Head of BAPPEDA, Secretary of Regional Jepara and related agencies in order to open communication regarding planned activities Regsosek is expected to be carried out in mid-October to mid-November 2022. Hopefully this initial step will be a bright spot for future steps in Regsosek activities that involve no small amount of energy and cost. It is hoped that the compact coordination can help smooth the implementation of Regsosek.
