Jepara, (1/9) – The growth of tourism, sea, and air transportation in Jepara Regency is showing positive results. The Head of the Jepara Regency Central Statistics Agency, Isnaini, explained that the increase in tourism activity is seen through the Room Occupancy Rate, while the development of sea and air transportation is measured through passenger data sourced from the Jepara Port Office, Karimunjawa Port, and Dewadaru Karimunjawa Airport. Starting in July 2025, regular scheduled flights will operate from Dewadaru Karimunjawa Airport to Semarang and the Special Region of Yogyakarta.
Hotel Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) Increases
The room occupancy rate (TPK) of star-rated and non-star-rated hotels in Jepara Regency increased by 2.57 percent in July 2025 compared to the previous month. For star-rated hotels, the TPK was recorded at 40.53 percent, a 3.62-point increase compared to the previous month's 36.91 percent. Meanwhile, for non-star-rated hotels, the TPK in July 2025 rose by 2.00 points, from 22.76 percent in June 2025 to 24.76 percent.
Passenger Numbers Across Several Transportation Modes Increase
The Jepara Regency Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded that in July 2025, the number of departing domestic air passengers reached 190 people, a 100 percent increase compared to the previous month, when there were no departures. An increase in passenger departures also occurred for domestic sea transportation, with 26,935 passengers, a 1.48 percent increase compared to the previous month.
