Jepara – To support the implementation of the national One Data Indonesia program, the Jepara Regency Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency (DPUPR) held a Geospatial Training Technical Guidance (Bimtek) on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at the D'Season Premiere Hotel in Jepara. The event ran from 7:30 a.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB) until completion and was attended by dozens of participants from various regional government agencies.

The Bimtek was officially opened by the Regional Secretary of Jepara Regency, Ary Bachtiar. In his remarks, Ary emphasized the importance of strengthening geospatial data as a foundation for accurate, integrated, and sustainable regional development planning.

"One Data Indonesia is not only about statistical data, but also encompasses spatial data. With accurate and transparent spatial data, development policies will be more targeted," said Ary.

As part of a strategic move toward geospatial data integration, this training featured Alfian Ulil Abshor, an instructor from the Central Java Provincial Communications and Informatics Office, who provided live technical guidance. The material covered mapping using the Q-GIS application, compiling spatial metadata from the preparation stage, customizing metadata templates, and uploading metadata to the official web portal.

Participants not only received theoretical material but also practiced using digital mapping software to deepen their technical understanding. This training was designed to improve human resource capacity in standardized spatial data management.

Two employees from the Jepara Regency Statistics Agency (BPS) also attended the training, demonstrating inter-agency synergy in supporting a single regional development database.

This activity represents a concrete step by the Jepara Public Works and Public Housing Agency (DPUPR) in supporting the realization of One Geospatial Data at the regional level, which aligns with national policy and serves as a crucial foundation for the targeted and sustainable development of Jepara Regency.
