Poverty in Central Java Province March 2019

Abstract

In March 2019, the number of poor people (people with per capita expenditure per month below the Poverty Line) in Central Java reached 3.74 million people (10.80 percent), decreasing by 124.2 thousand people compared to September 2018 which was 3.87 million people (11.19 percent).
The percentage of poor people in urban areas in September 2018 was 9.67 percent, decreasing to 9.20 percent in March 2019. The percentage of poor people in rural areas also decreased from 12.80 percent in September 2018 to 12.48 percent in March 2019
