Development of the Central Java Consumer Price Index/Inflation July 2021

Abstract

• In July 2021, Central Java experienced inflation of 0.06 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.11. Of the six CPI cities in Central Java, five cities experienced inflation and one city experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in the city of Surakarta at 0.23 percent with a CPI of 105.85 followed by the city of Purwokerto at 0.09 percent with a CPI of 105.58; the city of Tegal by 0.08 percent with a CPI of 106.36; Cilacap city by 0.06 percent with a CPI of 104.80; and the lowest inflation occurred in the city of Semarang at 0.05 percent with a CPI of 106.45. The only city that experienced deflation was the city of Kudus by -0.10 percent with a CPI of 105.18.
