The
tourism sector is a sector that has the potential to be developed as a source
of national income. Tourism is seen as an activity that has multidimensionality
from a series of development processes. The development of the tourism sector
involves socio-cultural, economic and political aspects. The creative economy
is one sector that is expected to become a pillar of the Indonesian economy in
the future. At this time the growth of the creative economy in Indonesia shows
a positive trend so that the development of this sector is one of the focuses
of the government. In order to fulfill data needs, the Ministry of Tourism and
Creative Economy/Tourism and Creative Economy Agency cooperates with the
Central Statistics Agency (BPS) to compile Creative Economy Statistics.
To get
an overall picture of the types of Tourism and Creative Economy businesses in
Indonesia, it is necessary to develop a database of these businesses as
material for policy, evaluation and planning. Therefore, it is necessary to
collect data, especially in the tourism business sector which is engaged in 8
sub-sectors, including the tourist transportation service business, travel service
business, MICE business, tourism information service business, tourism
consulting service business, tour guide business and SPA business and 16
Creative Economy sub-sector consisting of architecture, interior design, visual
communication design, product design, photography, craft, culinary, music,
fashion, application and game developers, publishing, advertising, television
and radio, performing arts, fine arts and animated films and videos.
In 2021, BPS Jepara Regency will carry out a
Survey of Companies/Businesses for the Tourism Industry and Creative Economy
which will be carried out until August 2021 with a sample allocation of 71
samples of Companies/Businesses. The purpose of the Survey of
Companies/Businesses of the Tourism Industry and Creative Economy is to obtain
data and information regarding the profile of companies/businesses of the
Tourism Industry and the creative economy in general, such as the form of legal
entity/business entity, type of business ownership, TDUP status, Certification
status, special business characteristics. , the number of consumers, the number
of workers, remuneration for labor, income and expenses. One of the important
aspects in the development of the creative economy is the availability of
statistical data and information to become the basis for policy making and
decisions, both by the government and creative economy actors.
