The tourism sector is a sector
that has the potential to be developed as a source of national income.
Development programs, resource utilization and regional tourism potential are
expected to contribute to economic development. Tourism is seen as an activity
that has multidimensionality from a series of development processes. The development
of the tourism sector involves socio-cultural, economic and political aspects.
In accordance with Law Number
10 of 2009 concerning Tourism which states that the implementation of tourism
is aimed at increasing national income in order to improve the welfare and
prosperity of the people, expand and equalize business opportunities and
employment opportunities, encourage regional development, introduce and utilize
tourism objects and attractions in Indonesia. Indonesia and foster a sense of
love for the homeland and strengthen friendship between nations. To get an
overall picture of the types of tourism businesses in Indonesia, it is
necessary to prepare a database of these businesses as material for policy,
evaluation and planning. Therefore, it is necessary to collect data on the
tourism business sector.
In 2021, BPS Jepara Regency will carry out a
Survey of Tourism Companies / Businesses which will be carried out until
September 2021. The sample enumeration of the survey includes commercial tourism
objects developed by local governments and those managed by the private sector.
The purpose of the Survey of Tourism Industry Companies/Businesses is to obtain
data and information regarding the profile of companies/businesses in general
such as Main Activities Types, Operational Permits owned, ownership of business
certifications, involvement in associations as well as promotional tools used.
In addition, company/business specific information includes business opening
hours, entrance ticket prices, ease of ordering tickets online, facilities
owned, parking capacity and number of visitors during 2020, information on
employee remuneration, company expenses, additions and subtractions. Capital
Year 2020 and Capital Ownership. Given the importance of this data as material
for development planning and evaluation, the role of the 2021 Tourist
Attractions Survey respondents becomes meaningful as a source of information
and data needed.
