Expanding the Implementation of SPIP

BPS as a Non-Departmental Government Institution has succeeded in maintaining an opinion with the title of WTP (Unqualified). This can certainly be achieved with the support of a strong Government Internal Control System (SPIP). SPIP is an integral process that is carried out continuously by the leadership and all employees to provide adequate confidence in the achievement of organizational goals through effective and efficient activities.

The quality of the implementation of the SPIP can be seen from various aspects, including the independent assessment of the maturity of the SPI, the results of the BPK's assessment opinion on the financial statements and seeing the achievements of SAKIP. In practice, there are still some weaknesses in the implementation of SPIP, so it is necessary to take steps to improve SPIP within BPS. The approaches used include preparing infrastructure and trained human resources, conducting self-assessment of SPIP maturity and re-assessing SPIP maturity which results in AOI for continuous improvement. It is hoped that the increase in SPIP can also be a means to increase accountability at BPS.
