National Instructor Training for the National Socio-Economic Survey March 2024

National Instructor Training for the National Socio-Economic Survey March 2024

January 17, 2024 | BPS Activities

The National Socio-Economic Survey is one of the most important sources of household socio-economic data in Indonesia. The data produced by this survey has been widely used by various groups, both at home and abroad. Therefore, the continuity, availability and quality of Susenas data must be maintained and improved.
The National Socio-Economic Survey data are used as materials for planning and evaluating national development programs, planning and evaluating sectoral programs (Ministries/Institutions), providing indicators for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the National Medium-Term Development Plan, and Nawacita.
The current stage of Susenas activities is the National Instructor Training, which was attended by Martesa Husna Laili, S.S., M.S.E. and Nor Sa'idah, S.M. National Instructors have a strategic function, especially in quality monitoring, namely the quality of Innas determines officers' understanding of concepts, definitions, and procedures for filling out questionnaires, as well as SOPs for implementation in the field. The National Instructor is also a reference for problem solving during field implementation. In addition, National Instructors must control the enumeration, monitoring, and data entry stages to maintain data quality.
The training was organized through self-paced learning (Massive Open Online Course/MOOC) on Wednesday-Friday, January 10-12, 2024. Furthermore, Distance Learning / PJJ (online) on Monday-Wednesday, January 15-17, 2024. The training used the Learning Management System E-learning platform Employee Competency Warung (E-WARKOP). In March 2024, data collection for the National Socio-Economic Survey was conducted using the Cor and Consumption/Expenditure Questionnaires. Along with these activities, Quarterly Household Economic Survey activities were also carried out, where the Quarterly Household Economic Survey I sample was a subsample of the March 2024 National Socio-Economic Survey households.
