On Thursday, March 7, 2024, a Regional Inflation Coordination Meeting was held with a focus on readiness for the month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 2024 / 1445 H. This meeting was part of the High Level Meeting (HLM) of the Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID) at the Jepara Regency level, which was held at the Shima Building, Jepara Regent's Office Complex. This event was held as a follow-up to the HLM TPID at the Central Java Province level.
The meeting was attended by various relevant stakeholders, including the Head of the Jepara Regency Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), Manggus Suryono, who participated as one of the speakers at the event. On this occasion, Manggus Suryono shared information related to the latest inflation data and steps that can be taken to control inflation in the region.
In this meeting, it was revealed that handling inflation is not only the responsibility of the central government, but must also involve regional participation. Cooperation between the center and the regions is crucial in facing inflation challenges, especially ahead of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr. This is because during this period, market demand will experience a significant increase, so it must be anticipated so that inflation is maintained within reasonable limits.
The Jepara District TPID will continue to monitor and review the development of prices of goods and services and the inflation rate in the region. It will also work closely with the provincial TPID to maintain synergy in handling inflation, especially ahead of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.
