Abstract

August 2019 in Jawa Tengah there was inflation of 0.33 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 136.14. Inflation in Jawa Tengah occurred in four cities of SBH, while the other two SBH cities experienced deflation

The calendar year inflation rate is 2.38 percent and the year-on-year (August 2019 to August 2018) inflation rate is 3.37 percent.

The main cause of inflation in Jawa tengah in August 2019 was the increase in the price of PAM drinking water, cayenne pepper, red chili, parking and rice tariffs. The restraint of the inflation rate is the fall in the price of shallots, air transportation, inter-city transportation, garlic and vegetable tomatoes
