The development of prices for
goods and services in rural areas is one of the government's concerns in
determining policies, especially at the household level both in terms of
production and consumption. Changes in the prices of goods and services will
affect the pattern of production and consumption patterns that occur in
society. In addition, changes in people's incomes, patterns of supply and
demand for goods and services, as well as changes in attitudes and behavior
have also played a role in changes in people's production and consumption
patterns over the past few years.
The Rural Price Survey (SHPed)
is conducted by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) on a monthly basis
including monitoring the development of agricultural commodity prices along
with the prices of production factors used by farmers from the production side
and monitoring the development of prices for goods and services consumed by
households in rural areas. rural areas in terms of consumption. Monitoring the
development of prices for goods and services from both sides is used to
calculate NTP in the form of Price Index Received by Farmers (It) and Price
Index Paid by Farmers (Ib). Farmers referred to here are people who carry out
agricultural business (lease/contract/profit sharing) by bearing the risk.
People who work in other people's fields with the expectation of wages (farm
labour) are not farmers.
Surveys for calculating NTP
(Farmers' Exchange Rate) include the Rural Producer Price Survey and the Rural
Consumer Price Survey. The Rural Producer Price Survey includes the Rural
Producer Price Survey for the Food Crops Subsector, the Rural Producer Price
Survey for the Horticulture Subsector, the Producer Price Survey for the
People's Plantation Subsector, the Producer Price Survey for the Livestock
Subsector, the Producer Price Survey for the Capture Fisheries Subsector and
the Producer Price Survey for the Aquaculture Subsector, which were carried out
in Jepara Regency. The Producer Price Survey is conducted on the 15th to 18th
of each month by asking farmers about the unit price of the products sold.
Meanwhile, questions to traders/agricultural service providers related to
prices/tariffs for goods/services sold from the 1st to the 15th of the month of
enumeration.
In addition to the Producer Price Survey, a Rural
Consumer Price Survey was also conducted which included a Rural Consumer Price
Survey for the Food Group, a Rural Consumer Price Survey for the Non-Food Group
for Building Materials, Services and Transportation, and a Rural Consumer Price
Survey for the Non-Food Group of Other Household Appliances. The period of time
for enumeration is carried out on the 1st to the 14th of each month. Given the
importance of these data as material for calculating FTT, the participation of
respondents is needed for future development planning.
