Abstract

  • In March 2024, the level of inequality in Jawa Tengah's population as measured by the Gini Ratio was recorded at 0.367. This figure is down 0.002 points when compared to the Gini Ratio in March 2023 which was 0.369.
  • Based on the World Bank's measure of inequality, the distribution of expenditure in the bottom 40 percent group was recorded at 18.90 percent in the low inequality level category.
  • In March 2024 the Gini Ratio in urban areas was recorded at 0.399, unchanged compared to the Gini Ratio in March 2023. The Gini Ratio in rural areas was recorded at 0.310, down compared to March 2023 which was 0.318.
